Delete your data

This page explains how to delete your data in Dransein. Dransein is an app by Johannes Müller (see legal notice).

In the app (immediately)

Open Dransein and tap Me at the bottom.
Choose Delete data.
Confirm.

We then immediately delete your random ID, your settings, your recovery code and the push tokens of your devices. Your household membership ends and your nickname is removed.

Before that, you can save a copy of your data as a file with Export data under Me.

Delete the whole household

The person who created the household can delete it permanently under Home → Delete household. We then immediately delete all tasks, rooms, completions and memberships of that household. When the last member leaves a household, we delete it after 30 days.

Without the app (by email)

If you have already deleted the app or lost your device, write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete data". Because there is no account, we need a hint which data is yours, for example your recovery code, or your household name and nickname. We delete within 30 days and confirm by email.

What remains

Completions in a household that still exists stay in the other members' stats, shown as "Former member" instead of your nickname.
Purchase data (store, transaction number, time) is kept for 10 years for tax reasons, without any link to tasks or nicknames. The household stays unlocked.
Backups are overwritten after 30 days at most. Until then, deleted data may still be contained there.
